Packers Front Office Holding Super Bowl Window Open as Long as Possible

When will the Packers win another Super Bowl and why is your answer wrong?

With everything that goes into a football season with practice, salary cap gymnastics, injuries, drafting, developing, coaching and roster changes, and countless other factors, it’s really impossible to tell you at this point the exact nature of my my wrong answer. I told my stepson in 2012 I believed the Packers would win 3 Super Bowl titles with Aaron Rodgers at quarterback. With what Brian Gutekunst and company have been doing this offseason, this still remains a possibility.

At the moment that I write this the Packers are ~5 mill over the salary cap. Do we have to clear enough space to not only get under the salary cap but have enough space to sign the draft picks this season? If so, how much space would we need for that? Thanks!

NFL teams generally have to have a few million dollars at their disposal for in-season disasters. Last I remember, they also try to keep approximately $4M in cap space for the signing of their draftees.
